Housing construction plunges 50 percent in two years

March 19, Pozirk. Developers built 3,600 new apartments in Belarus in January and February, said the National Statistics Committee (Biełstat).

Housing construction dropped 36.84 percent year on year and 50 percent compared to the same period in 2022, Pozirk has found.

A total of 417,000 square meters of housing was commissioned, almost 30 percent fewer than last year and 38 percent fewer than in 2022.
