Nominal average pay up 1.7 percent in February

March 25, Pozirk. Belarusians’ nominal average pay before taxes amounted to 2,026 rubels in February ($624 at the current exchange rate), up 1.7 percent from January, the National Statistics Committee (Biełstat) reported.

It dropped 10.8 percent from December 2023.

Inflation was reported 0.9 percent in February and 5.6 percent year on year.

The Belarusian government projects a 3.5-percent increase in real income and a 3.9-percent increase in real pay in 2024. Nominal average pay is projected to rise to 2,087 rubels.

Belarus' men paid 20–25 percent more than women
