Hackers target Belarus sites on Freedom Day
March 25, Pozirk. Cyberpartizans have posted Freedom Day greetings on the state website Pravda Gomel after cracking it, the Belarusian hacktivist group said today.
“In 1918, Belarusians told the whole world that we were a nation and that Belarus was free and independent. But we are yet to fight for real freedom,” they said. “We call on all wishing to live in a free Belarus to join this fight.”
They urged patriots to join the Kalinoŭski regiment fighting the Russians in Ukraine.
Ninety minutes later, Cyberpartisans reported hacking the Infobaza.by news website, the Minator-Siervis combat vehicle manufacturer and the Economic Court of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
On December 31, the group said they had hacked the website of the state-owned BiełTA (BelTA) news agency.
They reportedly damaged the news agency’s internal network and domain controllers and downloaded 90 gigabytes of business, accounting and employee records and an archive.
Visitors saw opposition content on the BiełTA portal after the hack.
