Government converts its aid for state-run companies into shares

April 12, Pozirk. In 2023, Belarusian authorities allocated 59.2 million rubels in financial support for seven companies manufacturing timber, cement and glass products, says the government’s Directive No 265 published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
Companies producing construction materials in Krasnasielsk, Hrodna region, and Kryčaŭ, Mahiloŭ region, received 4.7 million and 20.3 million rubels, respectively, the Svietłahorsk Pulp and Paper Mill in the Homiel region, 12.4 million; Homielškło glassworks, almost 5 million; the Belarusian Cement Plant, 7.6 million; Homieldreŭ and Ivacevičdreŭ woodworking companies, 128,700 and 9 million rubels, respectively.
By September 1, the government will receive these companies’ shares in exchange for the funding.
In 2022, the government allocated 74.9 million rubels for the same companies and the Hrodna glassworks.
