Tupolev to produce aviation components in Minsk
June 21, Pozirk. Tupolev is planning to produce components for Tu-214 jet airliners and paint these aircraft at Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407, Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation said.
Previously, Tupolev and the plant cooperated in the repair and modernization of Tu-134s.
The Minsk Civil Aviation Plant is located in the vicinity of the Minsk International Airport. On the third anniversary of the disputed presidential election of 2020, the United States included the company in its new sanctions list.
Tupolev is subject to US, EU and Japanese restrictions.
