Opposition leader condemns attack on Trump

July 14, Pozirk. Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja has said she was “shocked by the news of the attack” on Donald Trump and wished him a speedy recovery.
“Any kind of violence is unacceptable and has been a means to destroy democratic principles,” the politician said on X.
On July 13, Donald Trump was shot in the ear in an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The presumed shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was shot dead by the Secret Service agents. One rally participant was killed and another one seriously wounded.
Trump, 78, had served as the United States president from 2016 to 2020 and is running in the 2024 election in November.
