Government to raise childcare benefits on August 1
July 24, Pozirk. The government will increase childcare benefits for children under the age of three by 7.3 percent, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security has announced.
The increase, based on the average monthly pay in the second quarter of 2024, will be effective from August 1 to January 31, 2025.
The monthly allowance will amount to 777.81 rubels, or $236, for the first child (35 percent of average pay), 888.92 rubels for the second and subsequent children (40 percent) and 1,000.04 rubels for a disabled child (45 percent).
