November 8, Pozirk. A draft treaty on mutual security guarantees between Belarus and Russia will be soon forwarded to the foreign ministries, the Belarusian state-run media outlets reported.
Alaksandar Valfovič, state secretary of Belarus’ Security Council, has discussed the treaty with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev at their meeting in Moscow.
It may be submitted to Alaksandar Łukašenka and Russian President Vladimir Putin for signing next year, he said.
Valfovič and Patrushev also approved a plan of cooperation between the security councils for 2024-2025.
