Minsk government resumes small business registration

October 1, Pozirk. Minsk resumed the state registration of individual entrepreneurs on October 1, the Minsk City Executive Committee reported.
The city suspended it in 2021, citing “technical reasons.”
On April 22, Alaksandar Łukašenka signed a law on entrepreneurship, categorizing businesses as legal entities and individuals.
Entities are classified as small (up to 100 employees), medium-sized (up to 250) and large (over 250).
Individuals are artisans, farmers, self-employed and individual entrepreneurs.
On July 2, the government announced business activities permitted for individual entrepreneurs.
Businesses whose activities have been dropped from the list must re-register as legal entities before January 1, 2026.
Individual entrepreneurs are subject to preferential treatment, including lower taxes and simplified accounting.
