Rubel climbs against US dollar, yuan on December 16

December 16, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 3.4658 against the US dollar at the December 16 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).
The Belarusian currency also climbed to 4.7688 per 10 Chinese yuan but fell to 3.3627 per 100 Russian rubles.
The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.6743 against the euro.
Last week (December 9–13), the rubel lost 2.03 percent of its value against the dollar, 4.38 percent against the euro and 2.23 percent against the Chinese yuan but gained 1.2 percent against the Russian ruble.
The Belarusian currency lost 8.34 percent against the dollar in the first 11 months of 2024.
