Government cuts foreign debt service spending to finance forestry salaries
December 27, Pozirk. The government has increased spending for the Ministry of Forestry by 8.74 million rubels ($2.57 million at the current exchange rate), says the Council of Ministers’ Directive No 1000 published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
The government sliced the amount from the expenditure on servicing the external public debt.
The Council of Ministers ordered the finance ministry to allocate these funds to finance forest management staff salaries and benefits. The industry employed 41,700 people in September.
