Belarusian opposition figure backs Zelensky after fiery clash with Trump

February 29, Pozirk. A prominent Belarusian politician has voiced his support for Volodymyr Zelensky after the Ukrainian president’s meeting with Donald Trump in the Oval Office grew contentious.
Pavieł Łatuška said in a short YouTube video: “As a Belarusian, as a Belarusian politician, I would like to express words of support and solidarity to the Ukrainian people, to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at this important, historic moment. Ukraine is Europe, and Europe must be strong. And I believe that Belarus will also be in Europe.”
Łatuška, a former cabinet minister and the leader of the opposition National Anti-Crisis Management, later added on Telegram: “Zelensky does not need US President Donald Trump’s help to give Russia the occupied territories of Ukraine, reduce the army, give up on joining NATO and denationalize Ukraine. If he had wanted to capitulate, he would have gone to Moscow, not Washington.”
