April 28, Pozirk. Belarusian weather stations reported 23 temperature lows last night, following extremely hot weather since mid-April, according to Pozirk’s analysis of Biełhidramiet’s data.
Temperature fell to -4.5 degrees Celsius in Homiel region’s Vasilevičy, breaking the cold record of April 28, 1893. In Pinsk, Brest region, the temperature dropped to -2.4C, setting a new record, almost one degree lower than recorded on the same day in 1902.
This night is also expected to be cold with a temperature forecast of -3C in the south of the country.
Weather in Belarus have been extremely unstable this month, fluctuating between record highs and lows.
