Guinea-Bissau’s president to visit Belarus on May 6 – 7

May 6, Pozirk. Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embaló will visit Belarus on May 6 and 7 before traveling to Moscow to attend the Victory Day celebrations on May 9, Guinea-Bissau’s Mundo reports.
Two months ago, Embaló spoke with Alaksandar Łukašenka on the phone.
Earlier this year, Alaksandar Rahožnik, the Belarusian ambassador in Moscow, met with his Guinea-Bissau counterpart to discuss agricultural ties, training opportunities for African students and supplies of equipment from Belarus.
Bilateral trade data is unavailable, but Belarusian potash fertilizers and other goods are said to be shipped to Guinea-Bissau via Russian ports.
Guinea-Bissau, a nation of 2 million on the west coast of Africa, has an area of 36,100 sq. km and is slightly smaller than the Minsk region.
