Rubel slightly weakens against US dollar on May 8
May 8, Pozirk. The rubel has weakened to 3.0238 against the US dollar at the May 8 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
The Belarusian currency also fell to 4.1735 per 10 Chinese yuan but climbed to 3.6652 per 100 Russian rubles and to 3.39 per euro.
In the outgoing week, from May 5 to 8, the rubel appreciated by 0.55 percent against the greenback, 0.2 percent against the yuan, 2.94 percent against the euro but weakened by 0.26 percent against the Russian ruble.
The Belarusian currency gained 12.16 percent against the dollar in the first four months of 2025.
