May 27, Pozirk. The Belarusian interior ministry has declared the YouTube channel zhizn-malina an extremist group, a pro-government Telegram channel reported.
In this regard, the channel advised its viewers in Belarus to take care of their safety.
zhizn-malina (98,800 subscribers) is run by blogger Mikita Miełkazioraŭ, who regularly interviews Belarusian émigrés.
In 2022, his content was banned as extremist.
Officials routinely ban the information they don’t like as “extremist,” while human rights activists accuse them of abusing anti-extremist laws to stifle dissent.
Separately, the officials maintain a list of “extremist groups,” which currently contains 300 entries.
