Temperatures hit record high on June 6

June 7, Pozirk. Belarusian weather services recorded a new temperature high for June 6 in the Homiel region’s Brahin and Lelčycy, where the air warmed up to 31.7 degrees Celsius yesterday, according to Pozirk’s analysis of Biełhidramiet’s data.

The previous record dates back to 2000 with 31.6C in Brest.

Local highs were also reported in Homiel and the Homiel region’s Mazyr and Vasilevičy where temperatures exceeded 30C.

Biełhidramiet’s forecast for today suggests temperature may rise to 32C in the southeast of the country.
