Belarus’ GDP growth slows to 2.5 percent

June 17, Pozirk. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.5 percent in January-May 2025 compared with the same period in 2024, the National Statistical Committee reports.

Since the year’s start, GDP growth has slowed from 3.7 percent in January to 3.1 percent in January–February and January–March to 2.8 percent in January–April.

In the first five months, farm production shrank by 1 percent year on year in comparable prices, while freight transportation contracted by 3.4 percent.

In January–April 2025, the population’s real disposable income increased by 10.8 percent against the level of April 2024.
