Rubel hits 34-month high against US dollar at BCSE
January 30, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 2.8331 against the US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), hitting a high comparable to the value recorded on March 15, 2023, when it stood at 2.8348.
The Belarusian currency also climbed to 3.3831 per euro and 4.0749 per 10 yuan but dropped to 3.7529 per 100 Russian rubles.
In the outgoing week (January 26-30), the rubel rose by 0.38 percent against the US dollar, 0.04 percent against the yuan and 0.23 against the euro but lost 0.32 percent against the Russian ruble.
The Belarusian currency gained 16.43 percent against the dollar in 2025.
