Former Linguistic University instructor Natallia Dulina detained again in Minsk

March 1, BPN. Natallia Dulina, a former instructor of the Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU) and a member of the Coordination Council for the settlement of the political crisis in Belarus, was detained in Minsk on February 28, Viasna Human Rights Center reports.

“I really want to hug all Ukrainians right now and tell them: my dear people, we are with you!” Dulina wrote on Facebook on February 27. On the same day, she announced her participation in the rally against the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine near the General Staff of the Armed Forces in Minsk.

“We gathered at the General Staff. There was a crowd. We shouted “No to war!” Riot police and military arrived. A lot of men were taken away, women were pushed back to the river,” Dulina wrote.

Dulina has consistently opposed violence since August 2020 and supported a student protest against the falsification of presidential elections and brutality of the security forces. She was detained several times. In October 2020 she was sentenced to 14 days of arrest for supporting student protests and participating in a nationwide strike.
