Fitness trainer given lengthy restricted freedom term
June 10, BPN. Judge Taććana Pirožnikava of the Maskoŭski District Court in Minsk sentenced fitness trainer Kanstancin Jaršoŭ on June 6 to three years of restricted freedom in an open-type correctional facility for disorderly conduct in connection with his role in anti-government protests, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
Jaršoŭ was arrested on January 24, 2022 and held custody before the trial. He has been released in the courtroom and has to report to an open-type correctional facility.
People sentenced to restricted freedom with referral to an open-type correctional facility live in barracks and are required to find a job in the location. They are allowed to leave the facility for work only.
