KGB adds nine people to its terrorist list
June 14, BPN. The Committee for the State Security (KGB) has included nine more people in its “list of persons involved in terrorist activities,” according to the KGB’s website.
All of them are accused of inciting hatred. Jaŭhien Błachinski and Juryj Žukoŭski are also charged with mass riots, and Danuta Peradnia, with calls for sanctions. Some are charged in a case opened for negative comments about KGB officer Dźmitryj Fiedasiuk who died in a shootout with IT engineer Andrej Zelcer in 2021.
Human rights groups declared Alaksandr Haŭrylik, Alaksandr Piatraška, Aksana Kaspiarovič, and Andrej Kandratovič, political prisoners. They all are from the Hrodna region.
Currently, over 70 Belarusians are on the KGB’s terrorist list, including opposition leaders Maryja Kalesnikava and Maksim Znak, sentenced to lengthy prison terms.
