Criminal case filed against car website’s editor in chief
June 17, BPN. A criminal case has been filed against abw.by editor in chief Julija Mudreŭskaja for organization and preparation of activities grossly disturbing public order, a pro-police Telegram account reported.
It posted a video of the woman saying that she participated in unauthorized rallies in August-September 2020 including the blocking of roads, which has led to her arrest.
The account said the editor called on the audience of thousands to “radicalize.”
Law enforcers have also arrested abw.by editor Vadzim Ziankievič and advertising manager Juryj Hładčuk.
Police posted a “confession” video of Ziankievič admitting that in a work chat he supported violence against police officers involved in dispersing 2020 post-election protests.
Currently, 32 Belarusian media workers are behind bars.
The website abw.by is still being updated.
