Belarusian opposition passes file on regime’s “terrorist crimes” to Czech House speaker
November 9, BPN. A member of the opposition’s cabinet, Pavieł Łatuška, has handed a file on the Belarusian regime’s “terrorist crimes” to Czech Chamber of Deputies Speaker Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Łatuška’s Telegram channel reported on November 8.
The Belarusian politician, during a meeting in Warsaw, presented evidence to support allegations that the Belarusian regime is responsible for murders of political opponents and activists, violence against peaceful protesters, the hijacking of a civilian aircraft, a migrant crisis and other crimes. He suggested that Belarus’ Committee for State Security (KGB) and the police’s Main Directorate for Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption (GUBOPiK) be designated as terrorist organizations.
“The head of the Czech Parliament’s lower house would pass on the relevant package of documents to the Czech Ministry of Justice, which will examine whether these agencies can be designated as terrorist organizations under national law,” the channel said.
