“The relationship that we’ll have after the victory in the war needs to be founded now,” she said. “I saw great prospects for cooperation on national revival, where the Ukrainians have rich experience. I managed to establish working contacts with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Mystetskyi Arsenal and the Renaissance Foundation and agree the implementation of public projects. I intend to reach a deeper mutual understanding in relations with the Ukrainians.”

Kavaleŭski said that “even in this difficult conditions, when Belarus has actually become an accomplice in the war because of the Łukašenka regime, Ukraine is interested in developing Belarusian-Ukrainian relations.”

“We found allies in the Verkhovna Rada. We decided to regularly inform the Ukrainian side about what is happening in Belarus and cooperate on counteracting propaganda. We planned several Belarusian-Ukrainian expert and political events, which will be announced soon,” he said.

The politicians also met with members of the Belarusian diaspora and the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment’s fighters.
