Łukašenka offers governor help in reforming Russia’s Chelyabinsk region

November 15, BPN. Russia’s Chelyabinsk region “follows the path of Belarus” in terms of reforming and the latter is ready to assist it, Alaksandr Łukašenka told the region’s governor Alexei Teksler at their meeting in Minsk.

“As I am informed, your region is very successfully implementing reforms, which naturally require technical re-equipment,” Łukašenka was quoted as saying by his press office.

Noting Belarus’ strengths in engineering and machine tool industries, he offered to supply the Chelyabinsk region with everything that Belarus “knows how to manufacture,” from food to modern machinery.

“We need to coordinate and balance our relations so that we could support each other at any moment,” he said.
