Łukašenka sacks Air Force commander

November 18, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has signed an edict to dismiss Ihar Hołub as commander of the Air/Air Defense Forces.

He was transferred to the reserve on reaching the retirement age, with the right to wear military uniform and insignia, Łukašenka’s press office reported.

Hołub was appointed to this post in August 31, 2017. Before that, he had been deputy commander of the Air/Air Defense Forces for seven years.
