Defense minister says no plans to get involved in conflicts

November 19, BPN. “We have no plans to get involved in any conflicts,” Belarusian Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin has said at an oath-swearing ceremony for new soldiers.

The young people who have joined the Armed Forces are highly motivated and understand the importance of military service, the lieutenant general said, as quoted by the defense ministry.

They will take part in all the upcoming combat training events, including the Union Shield 2023 joint exercises with Russia, he said.

Given the specifics of modern conflicts, Belarus carefully analyzes modern warfare, incorporating this knowledge into combat training, he added.
