Interior ministry adds 178 names to list of extremists
November 25, BPN. The Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs has added 178 names to its register of people involved in extremist activities.
They were convicted on charges that are often used to suppress dissenters, for example, for inciting hatred, insulting Alaksandr Łukašenka or discrediting the Republic of Belarus.
Among them is the well-known European Belarus campaigner Palina Šarenda-Panasiuk.
The total number of those blacklisted reached 2,059.
