Belarus to contribute $381,000 to Pakistan flood relief
November 29, BPN. The Belarusian Council of Ministers has instructed the finance ministry to allocate 923,365 rubels (about $381,000) to finance humanitarian aid to Pakistan, says a directive published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
In 2022, floods caused by monsoon rains affected over 33 million people in Pakistan in one way or another, killing at least 1,400.
Belarus is donating a diesel generator, gasoline pumps, tents, blankets, water decontaminators, clothing for children and adults, and medicines.
The Belarusian textile and clothing industry conglomerate, Minsk region’s authorities as well as ministries of health and emergency situations will be responsible for assembling the cargo, while the transport and foreign ministries are in charge of its transfer.
