November 29, BPN. The Belarusian government is planning to significantly increase spending on security and armed forces in 2023, according to a bill published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
It has earmarked 4.07 billion rubels (some $1.6 billion) for the defense and security agencies, a 29.6 percent increase from the 2022 level. The army alone is projected to receive 2.64 billion, 55 percent more than this year.
