Doctors refuse to tell Kaleśnikava’s diagnosis to father – report
November 30, BPN. Doctors refuse to tell Maryja Kaleśnikava’s father her diagnosis, former presidential hopeful Viktar Babaryka’s campaign has said.
“The surgery went as planned and was successful, but Maryja is still in a serious condition. According to doctors, she is conscious and gets the necessary treatment and medications . . . There is unconfirmed information that Maryja has a perforated ulcer,” it said.
Her father Alaksandr Kaleśnikaŭ is in the hospital. His communication with the doctors takes place in the presence of police officers. Neither the father nor a lawyer are allowed to see the patient.
Babaryka’s campaign manager Kaleśnikava was brought from a prison to the hospital in Homiel this week, ending up in an intensive care unit. She was operated on on November 28.
