Poland issuing travel documents to Belarusian political migrants – Center for Belarusian Solidarity

January 10, BPN. The Belarusian holders of Polish temporary residence permits issued for humanitarian reasons can apply a Polish travel document since January 1, the Warsaw-based Center for Belarusian Solidarity (CBS) reported.

One-year travel documents replace passports lost, damaged, or unusable, if their holders cannot apply for a new identification document in Belarus because of the risk of persecution, it said.

Applications for travel documents can be submitted to the local Polish authorities at the place of residence.

A total of 68,684 Belarusians reside in Poland, including those with permanent residence permits (30,421) and temporary residence permits (28,071), the CBS reported earlier.
