Retail trade down 3.7 percent in 2022

January 17, BPN. Retail trade totaled 67.5 billion rubels ($25.8 billion) in 2022, a 3.7 percent decrease from 2021 in comparable prices, the National Statistics Committee has said.

Retail trade per capita amounted to 19.9 rubels a day, compared with 17.7 rubels in 2021. The 12.4 percent nominal increase was below the 12.8 percent hike in consumer prices.

Wholesale trade stood at 137.9 billion rubels, down 17.8 percent in comparable prices.

Nominal gross average pay was 1,648.2 rubels in November.
