January 31, BPN. Belarusian opposition leader Sviatłana Cichanoŭskaja discussed developments in Belarus and Ukraine with Robin Dunnigan, deputy assistant secretary at the US Department of State responsible for Central and Eastern Europe.
Their meeting took place in Vilnius on January 30 and reportedly lasted one hour.
The US diplomat assured Cichanoŭskaja that the US support for Belarus’ democracy and sovereignty “remains as strong as ever,” the US Embassy in Minsk reported.
