February 21, BPN. Belarus’ HIV incidence rate increased to 1.5 cases per 100,000 people in January 2023 from 1.3 cases per 100,000 people one year ago, the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health said.
Doctors recorded 137 HIV infections last month. The highest incidence rate, 2.8, was registered in the Homiel region. The Brest region had the lowest rate of 0.3.
Over the past five years, the coverage of HIV patients with treatment has increased by a factor of 1.8.
