February 22, BPN. Transport inspectors and highway police will check compliance with safety rules by shared taxis, the Belarusian transport ministry reports.
The move comes after 11 passengers, two children among them, were killed in a two-vehicle collision in the Minsk region.
A shared taxi minivan collided with a MAZ truck on the P69 motorway on February 20.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal probe into the incident. On February 22, its press office said the truck driver had been arrested.
