Integration needs “fine-tuning” by Łukašenka, Putin – Belarusian envoy in Moscow
April 3, BPN. The Supreme State Council (SSC) of the Union State of Russia and Belarus will discuss progress of 28 integration programs on April 6, said Dźmitryj Krutoj, the Belarusian ambassador to Russia.
“Several of them have already been fully implemented, while others still need some fine-tuning and instructions from the presidents of our countries,” Russia’s TASS quoted the diplomat as saying.
Alaksandr Łukašenka and Vladimir Putin will also hear the governments’ plans for 2023 with a focus on the economy, Krutoj noted.
Belarusian Prime Minister Raman Hałoŭčanka said on March 27 that Belarus and Russia still needed to create equal conditions for businesses and eliminate the remaining barriers and restrictions.
Łukašenka is expected to meet with Putin in Moscow on April 5, the day before the SSC meeting.
Other important issues, including security, may be also raised during their meeting, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on March 28.
