Belarusian insurers report 13.6 percent increase in collected fees

April 3, BPN. Belarusian insurance organizations received a total of 358.26 million rubels (some $141.9 million at the current exchange rate) in insurance and coinsurance fees in January-February, a 13.6 percent increase from one year earlier.

The Ministry of Finance’s press office reports that 268.12 million rubels (+14.1 percent) was received for voluntary insurance and 90.14 million (+9.2%) for compulsory insurance.

Insurance claims amounted to 218.3 million rubels (+32.9 percent).

The share of voluntary insurance fees amounted to 74.8 percent (as compared to 73.8 percent in January-February 2022).
