Cultural project declared extremist in freedom of speech crackdown

June 30, BPN. A district court in Minsk has labeled the website and social media accounts of Budźma, a famous cultural and educational project, as extremist content, according to the information ministry.

A district court in the Viciebsk region has made a similar decision regarding the Telegram channel Ušačy.

Earlier this week, district courts in the Viciebsk region declared “extremist” Instagram and Vkontakte pages of the independent media outlet Volnaje Hłybokaje, as well as a video by Belsat TV, a Polish-based television channel covering developments in Belarus.
