July 17, BPN. Alaksandar Łukašenka has said prosecutors should step up their control over troops’ observance of the law.
At a meeting with Prosecutor General Andrej Švied in Minsk, the Belarusian ruler pointed to a gap between Švied’s office and security and defense agencies.
“It is not just about the army. Many other agencies have shoulder straps, including the Ministry for Emergency Management, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Committee for State Security,” Łukašenka said.
“The prosecutor should look everywhere,” he added.
