Prisoners put to work in unsafe conditions – Mahiloŭ’s prosecutors
July 24, BPN. The Mahiloŭ region’s deputy prosecutor has told a meeting at the interior ministry’s local department of corrections that wardens should not break the law when putting prisoners to work.
At the meeting focused on the penitentiary system’s performance in the first six months of 2023, Andrej Vołkaŭ said prosecutors uncovered irregularities during their inspections of prisons, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
He also pointed to flaws in compliance with labor protection rules.
