January 4, Pozirk. The Belarusian rubel has depreciated to 3.198 against US dollar at the January 4 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).
It also fell to 4.4476 per 10 Chinese yuan and to 3.4998 per 100 Russian rubles. The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.52 against the euro.
Last week (December 25 – 29), the rubel rose 0.81 percent against the dollar and 0.88 percent against the yuan but fell 0.03 percent against the euro and 0.56 percent against the Russian currency.
The Belarusian currency lost 16.12 percent of its value against the dollar in 2023.
