Ukraine pulls out of railway transport agreement with Belarus

March 18, Pozirk. Kyiv has terminated a 1992 railway transportation agreement with Minsk, Taras Melnychuk, the Ukrainian cabinet’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, said on Telegram.

The Ukrainian government has also approved the bill denouncing an emergency assistance agreement with Belarus signed in July 2020. 

Kyiv and Minsk have annulled several agreements, including on free trade, pensions and migrants’ rights, following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 supported by the Belarusian government.
