Defense minister visiting China

October 26, Pozirk. Belarusian Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin went on an official visit to China, the ministry’s press office reports.

He received the invitation from former Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu who had visited Minsk in August.

Chrenin is expected to hold talks with a Politburo member of China’s Communist Party and deputy chair of the Central Military Commission, the defense ministry said.

The general will visit educational institutions and the Chinese army’s military units, and participate in the 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum on security. He will also hold several bilateral meetings.
