Belarus’ investigators file criminal charges against Coordination Council candidates

May 21, Pozirk. The Belarusian Investigative Committee has announced criminal charges against 257 candidates in the upcoming Coordination Council election.
Charges include conspiracy to seize power, calling for sanctions and association with an extremist group.
Investigators threatened exiled activists with continuing raids, searches and property seizures in Belarus.
The election is scheduled from May 25 to 27 on an electronic voting platform. The new council is expected to convene on June 15.
