Belarusian, Cambodian officials discuss economic cooperation

June 7, Pozirk. Uładzimir Baravikoŭ, the Belarusian ambassador to Vietnam and Cambodia, and Tekret Kamrang, secretary of state at the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, discussed “intensification of the bilateral dialogue” at a meeting yesterday.

The Belarusian foreign ministry said the parties also discussed “the next meeting of the Belarusian-Cambodian Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation” and exchanged views on “prospects for cooperation in the industrial and agricultural sectors.”

According to the foreign ministry, trade amounted to $5.1 million in 2021 with Belarusian exports at $2.9 million and imports from Cambodia at $2.2 million.

Minsk has not disclosed the trade data for the following years.
