Rubel down against US dollar, Russian currency at BCSE on February 24

February 24, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated to 3.2078 against the US dollar at the February 24 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

The Belarusian currency fell to 3.5717 per 100 Russian rubles but climbed to 4.3607 per 10 Chinese yuan.

The rubel has not traded against the European currency since February 20 and remains at 3.35 against the euro.

Last week (February 17 – 21), the rubel climbed 1.72 percent against the dollar, 1.07 percent against the euro and 1.68 percent against the yuan but lost 0.78 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency gained 1.73 percent against the dollar in January, after losing 9.32 percent of its value against the dollar last year.
