Rubel slides against US dollar, euro at week’s last trading

May 16, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated to 3.0134 against the US dollar at the May 16 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
The Belarusian currency also dropped to 3.4 per euro but climbed to 4.1521 per 10 Chinese yuan and 3.7156 per 100 Russian rubles.
In the outgoing week (May 12 – 16), the rubel appreciated by 0.34 percent against the greenback and 0.51 percent against the yuan, weakening 0.29 percent against the euro and 1.38 percent against the Russian ruble.
The Belarusian currency gained 12.16 percent against the dollar in the first four months of 2025.
