Rubel down against US dollar, euro, yuan at week’s last trading

October 17, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated to 2.9831 against the US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
The Belarusian currency also dropped to 3.4801 per euro and 4.1833 per 10 Chinese yuan, but climbed to 3.6982 per 100 Russian rubles.
In the outgoing week (October 13–17), the rubel gained 0.43 percent against the dollar, 0.41 percent against the yuan and 0.44 percent against the euro, losing 0.3 percent against the Russian currency.
The Belarusian currency gained 12.92 percent against the dollar in the first nine months of 2025.
GDP grows by 1.6 percent in Q1–3, Biełstat says
October 16, Pozirk. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.6 percent in January–September compared with the same period in 2024, the National Statistical Committee reported. The government projected GDP growth of 4.1 percent for the year.
